Delicious homemade apple turnovers using flaky crescent rolls filled with cinnamon-spiced apples, perfect for any occasion.

- 1 large apple, peeled and diced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tube crescent rolls
- Sugar glaze (powdered sugar and milk mixture)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine the light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of melted butter, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
- Unroll the crescent rolls and separate each triangle.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of the sugar-cinnamon mixture onto the wider end of each triangle and add 2 pieces of diced apple.
- Roll each triangle tightly from the wider end toward the point, sealing the tip underneath.
- Place the rolled turnovers on the baking sheet, seam-side down and brush with remaining melted butter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle or brush sugar glaze over warm turnovers and allow to cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Notes
Consider using different apple varieties for unique flavors. You can also customize with nuts or caramel.
