- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 3–4 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8-inch thick and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Toss together the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Arrange the apple mixture on top of the puff pastry, leaving a small border.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.
- Drizzle melted butter over the apples.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
For added flavor, let the apple mixture sit for 10 minutes before arranging on the pastry.
