Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 34 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8-inch thick and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Toss together the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  4. Arrange the apple mixture on top of the puff pastry, leaving a small border.
  5. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.
  6. Drizzle melted butter over the apples.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For added flavor, let the apple mixture sit for 10 minutes before arranging on the pastry.
