Description
Crispy, golden chicken tenders smothered in a sweet and savory honey butter garlic sauce, made healthier in the air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Rinse the chicken tenders under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Set Up Breading Station: In a shallow dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In another dish, pour the buttermilk.
- Coat the Chicken: Dip each chicken tender into the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off; dredge them in the flour mixture.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set it to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for about 5 minutes.
- Air Fry the Chicken: Arrange the breaded chicken tenders in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Prepare Honey Butter Garlic Sauce: Melt the butter in a saucepan, add minced garlic, sauté until fragrant, then stir in honey.
- Coat the Chicken: Remove the chicken from air fryer, drizzle with the honey butter garlic sauce, and toss gently to coat.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider double-dipping the chicken tenders.
