- 1.5 lbs (680g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- For Serving:
- Tzatziki sauce
- Lemon wedges
- Chopped fresh parsley
- Pita bread (optional)
- Greek salad (optional)
Instructions
- Prep chicken: Cut chicken into even 1.5-inch thick pieces. Pound thicker parts to even thickness if needed.
- Make marinade: Whisk olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon zest.
- Marinate: Coat chicken thoroughly with marinade. Let sit 15 minutes at room temperature (or up to 4 hours refrigerated).
- Air fry: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange chicken in single layer (cook in batches if needed). Air fry 12-14 minutes, flipping halfway, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Crisp: Increase heat to 400°F (200°C) for final 2 minutes for extra browning.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges. Serve with tzatziki and pita.
Notes
- For juicier results: Use chicken thighs instead of breasts
- No air fryer? Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes
- Meal prep: Double marinade and freeze raw chicken for future use
