- 2 tablespoons ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup cooked rice or quinoa
- 1 green onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine the minced ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl and whisk until aromatic.
- Marinate the flank steak in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a grill or heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the marinated steak for 5-7 minutes on each side until desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest, then slice thinly against the grain.
- Layer rice or quinoa in bowls, add cucumber and bell pepper slices, and top with steak.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
For a healthier option, swap white rice for quinoa and use low-sodium soy sauce.
