Watermelon Lime Mocktail

  • Author: chef caterina
  • Total Time: 10 mins
  • Yield: 4 servings

Description

A refreshing, hydrating summer mocktail bursting with fresh watermelon flavor and zesty lime. This vibrant pink drink is naturally sweet, slightly tart, and perfect for hot days or as a festive alcohol-free party option.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 2 tbsp honey or simple syrup (optional)
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • For garnish, fresh mint leaves
  • Lime slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend watermelon cubes until completely smooth (about 1 minute). Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp if desired.
  2. In a pitcher, combine watermelon juice, lime juice, and honey/agave (if using). Stir until sweetener dissolves.
  3. Fill glasses with ice. Pour watermelon mixture halfway up each glass.
  4. Top with sparkling water (about 2 oz per glass) and gently stir.
  5. Garnish with mint sprigs, lime wedges, and a tiny pinch of sea salt on top if using.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

  • For frozen version: Blend watermelon juice with ice instead of using sparkling water
  • Add 1-2 tbsp chia seeds for a fun texture and omega-3 boost
  • Make watermelon juice ahead and refrigerate for up to 2 days
  • For spicy variation, add a slice of jalapeño to each glass
