Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • Pink food coloring (optional)
  • Rose-flavored frosting
  • Edible rose petals (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a cupcake pan with liners.
  3. Cream butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  8. If desired, add a few drops of pink food coloring and fold it in gently.
  9. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter.
  10. Bake for 18-20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting.
  12. Pipe the rose-flavored frosting onto cooled cupcakes and garnish with edible rose petals.
