  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A quick and flavorful Asian-inspired dish featuring tender chicken pieces coated in a sweet and savory garlic sauce, served over chewy noodles and garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (egg or rice noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, ginger, and chili flakes to make the sauce. Set aside.
  2. Toss chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. While the sauce thickens, cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain.
  6. Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, simmer longer or add a cornstarch slurry (1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water).
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce and gluten-free noodles.
  • Adjust the amount of chili flakes to control the spice level.
