Description
A spooky and fun Halloween Spider Web Pizza made with a pre-made crust, tomato sauce, cheese, and olive strips to create a creepy crawly web design. This easy-to-make pizza is perfect for Halloween parties and will be a hit with both kids and adults.
Ingredients
– 16-ounce ball of Pizza Dough
– 3/4 cup Pizza Sauce
– 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
– 1/4 cup Sour Cream or Plain Greek Yogurt
– 10-12 Large Black Olives (pitted)
Instructions
- Preheat oven according to pizza crust package instructions (typically 425°F/220°C).
- Place pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the crust, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Using the black olive strips, create a spider web design: first place 4-5 long strips crossing in the center to form spokes, then add concentric circles of olive strips connecting the spokes.
- Use whole black olives to create spiders around the web (use additional olive strips for legs if desired).
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and crust is golden brown.
- Let cool for 2-3 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, pre-bake the crust for 3-4 minutes before adding toppings.
- Get creative with spider designs – use additional olive pieces for legs or different sized olives for spider bodies.
- Add other Halloween-themed toppings like orange bell pepper jack-o’-lantern faces or ghost-shaped mozzarella.
- For a quicker version, use pre-made pizza dough or even English muffins for individual spider web pizzas.
