Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, white sugar, and egg until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- If desired, divide the dough and add different food coloring for vibrant cookies.
- Roll the dough into balls (about 1-2 tablespoons each) and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Flatten the balls slightly and sprinkle with Halloween decorations.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until golden around the edges.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
