  • Author: ranime
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

Delicious mini Philly cheesesteak sandwiches made with tender sliced steak, melted cheese, and caramelized onions on soft slider buns. Perfect for game day, parties, or a quick family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian or potato rolls work well)
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices provolone cheese (or Cheez Whiz for authenticity)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and peppers, sauté until caramelized (about 10 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. In same skillet, cook sliced steak with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until no longer pink (about 5 minutes).
  4. Slice slider buns in half (keeping them connected) and place bottom halves in baking dish.
  5. Layer with steak mixture, then onions/peppers, then cheese slices.
  6. Place top buns on, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with paprika.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and buns are golden.
  8. Cut into individual sliders and serve warm.

Notes

  • Freeze steak for 30 minutes before slicing for easier thin cuts
  • For authentic Philly style, use Cheez Whiz instead of provolone
  • Add mushrooms for extra flavor if desired
  • Can be assembled ahead and baked just before serving
