Description

A creamy, comforting slow cooker meal featuring tender chicken, fresh broccoli, and elbow macaroni in a rich three-cheese sauce – the ultimate hands-off family dinner!


Ingredients

1 pound Boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into cubes

5 cups Fresh broccoli florets

8 ounces Shell pasta or elbow macaroni

8 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded

4 ounces Cream cheese

1.5 cups Whole milk

0.5 cup Chicken broth

1 packet Ranch seasoning

1 tablespoon Minced garlic

1 teaspoon Dry mustard powder


Instructions

  1. Grease 6-quart slow cooker. Add chicken, broccoli, and uncooked pasta.
  2. In large bowl, whisk milk, soup, sour cream, and all seasonings until smooth.
  3. Pour sauce over ingredients in slow cooker. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Top with all cheeses (don’t stir). Cover and cook on LOW 2.5-3 hours.
  5. Stir well before serving (sauce will thicken as it stands).

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, stir in 1/4 cup cream cheese during last 30 minutes
  • Can use frozen broccoli – no need to thaw
  • If using gluten-free pasta, check at 2 hours to prevent overcooking
  • Leftovers thicken when refrigerated – reheat with splash of milk
