Ingredients
- Rice paper wrappers
- Lettuce (romaine or butter lettuce)
- Carrots, shredded or julienned
- Cucumbers, thinly sliced
- Cooked shrimp, sliced
- Grilled chicken, shredded
- Baked tofu, marinated
- Fresh mint leaves
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- Peanut sauce for dipping
- Hoisin sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Prepare all fillings by slicing vegetables and proteins into thin strips
- Soak rice paper wrapper in warm water for 10 seconds until pliable
- Place hydrated wrapper on clean surface
- Layer lettuce, vegetables, protein, and herbs in center of wrapper
- Fold sides over filling, then roll tightly from bottom to top
- Repeat with remaining wrappers and fillings
- Serve immediately with dipping sauces
Notes
- Don’t over-soak rice paper to prevent tearing
- Use fresh ingredients for best flavor and texture
- Store rolls in airtight container with damp paper towels
- Best consumed fresh but can be refrigerated for 1-2 days
