- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers (or breadcrumbs)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Prep broccoli: Place broccoli in a microwave-safe bowl with 1 tbsp water. Cover and microwave 2 minutes. Drain.
- Mix base: In a 2-quart microwave-safe casserole dish, combine chicken, soup, milk, sour cream, 3/4 cup cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.
- Add broccoli: Stir in par-cooked broccoli until evenly distributed.
- Top: Mix crushed crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle over casserole with remaining 1/4 cup cheese.
- Microwave: Cook uncovered on HIGH 5-7 minutes, until bubbly. Let stand 2 minutes before serving.

- Shortcut: Use frozen broccoli (no need to pre-cook).
- Lighter option: Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
- No cream soup? Mix 1 cup milk + 2 tbsp flour + 1 bouillon cube.
