A quick and easy recipe for flavor-packed baked teriyaki salmon, perfect for weeknight dinners.

- 4 salmon fillets (skin-on preferred)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup)
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Arrange the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and cornstarch.
- Add water to the mixture and whisk until the cornstarch is dissolved.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce mixture over the salmon fillets and let them marinate for 10-15 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily.
- While the salmon is baking, simmer the remaining sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- Drizzle the thickened sauce over the fillets and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or your favorite side dishes.
Notes
Let the salmon sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking for even cooking. Be careful not to overbake to avoid dryness.
